A little history of National Doctor's Day. Doctors' Day date back to March 30, 1933. It was started by Eudora Brown Almond of Winder, Ga. It is the day of the first use of general anesthesia in surgery.
On March 30, 1958, the U.S. House of Representatives adopted a resolution commemorating Doctors' Day. In 1990, the congress and the senate approved legislation establishing National Doctors Day. The resolution designating March 30 as National Doctors' Day and was signed by President George Bush.
